Windar Renovables investment in the Port of Szczecin

In the first half of 2026, a production facility will begin operations in the Szczecin harbour, where wind turbine components (towers and foundations) for offshore and onshore wind farms will be manufactured. The manufactured components will be transported using, among other things, sea transport.

The Port of Szczecin and Świnoujście Authority and the leader in the offshore industry, the Spanish company Windar Renovables, operating in Poland through its subsidiary Windar Polska spółka z o.o., have just signed an agreement for the lease of port land. Earlier last October, the contractors signed a preliminary lease agreement on the matter.

The production facility will be built on an approximately 17-hectare property, which is located in the Debicki Canal area of the Szczecin harbour. Ultimately, it will employ a total of more than 400 people. The value of the investment on the part of the Spanish company will be around €70 million. .

After the installation terminal for offshore wind farms in the Port of Świnoujście, this is another venture in the Szczecin-Świnoujście port complex related to renewable energy sources.
