Polferries to help Ukraine

Polferries is providing free transport for refugees from war-torn Ukraine. The transport takes place in the direction of Sweden. So far, about 2,000 people have benefited from this form of assistance, including more than 400 children.

– Exceptional situation related to the need of transporting refugees from Ukraine requires reorganization of our work and services. For any difficulties and inconvenience, we apologize to all passengers. We are taking numerous measures to optimize the entire process and minimize the inconvenience – informs Polferries.

The company adds that there has been a lot of interest in carrying Ukrainian citizens on the line Gdansk-Nynashamn.

– We are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards and therefore our ability to assist is limited. We appeal to direct groups of Ukrainian refugees also on board Polferries ferries running from Swinoujscie to Ystad. This will make the process smoother, making it easier for those in need to get to Sweden, without unnecessary delays.
