PGE Baltica has selected the Technical Consultant for all its offshore wind farm projects

PGE Baltica has signed an Agreement with Ramboll Polska for the provision of technical offshore and onshore consulting services for OWF construction projects under the PGE Group’s programme.

Offshore and onshore technical consulting services for the development and construction of offshore wind farm projects in the Baltic Sea are an important component in the entire investment process due to the complexity of projects and the dynamically changing offshore wind energy market.  The scope of work includes consulting services for three phases of project management: development, construction and operation. The Agreement has been signed for four years.

Partnering with Ramboll, undoubtedly a leading offshore consultant, is aimed to provide technical support for all projects implemented by PGE.

The PGE Group’s Offshore Programme provides for the construction, by 2030, of the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm, to be completed in two stages – Baltica 2 and Baltica 3, with a total installed capacity of up to 2.5 GW. The projects are implemented jointly with Ørsted. After 2030, the Group’s portfolio will be expanded to include the Baltica 1 Offshore Wind Farm with a capacity of approx. 0.9 GW. Thanks to the acquisition of new areas for development in the Baltic Sea, the PGE Group will be able to build further offshore wind farms by 2040. Together with the projects currently underway, this will allow the Group to achieve more than 7 GW of offshore generation capacity.
