Chipolbrok blazes a trail to the south

The loading of steel billets for the Chipol Boan ship is underway at the Port of Gdansk. The voyage to the Far East via Australia will be a pilot. It is the first route from the Baltic to the southern hemisphere carried out by the Chipolbrok shipping company. So far, the company has sent vessels to Asia directly from the Baltic Sea.

Chipol Baoan is an MPP type vessel built in 2009. The vessel has a deadweight of 33,248 DWT, a length of 179.5m and a width of 28.25m. It is equipped with four cranes which, working in tandem, have a lifting capacity of up to 120 metric tonnes. Loading is carried out at Ore Quay, by the largest operator in the Inner Port – Port Gdański Eksploatacja.
