Today, in the Conference Centre of II World War Museum, the Maritime Industry Safety Forum was held. The tradition of this event is to present awards to companies distinguished by innovative procedures and safety systems, exemplary cooperation with insurers and conducting business without failures.
In the fourth edition of the Forum, the organizers – Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, PZU S.A., TUW PZUW and PZU LAB – decided to award also entities open to the exchange of experience and, above all, spreading the knowledge of innovation in the service of minimizing risks in the maritime industry. The industry leader has been chosen Remontowa Shiprepair Yard SA.
The award was collected by Krzysztof Filip – HSE Manager, plenipotentiary of the Management Board of Remontowa SA. The shipyard from the Remontowa Holding capital group has been recognized “for implementing solutions aimed at safe business conduct with particular consideration of environmental and social aspects.”
The maritime industry in Remontowa Shiprepair Yard SA is doing very well. We repair and convert over 150 ships a year. I would like to thank specialists and experts who know the shipyard’s specifics for granting this award – said Krzysztof Filip.
Leader of Safety in Maritime Industry in the category Green Innovation Leader was awarded to Cluster of Hydrogen Technologies; in the category, Green Transformation Leader was awarded to Energa OZE, while in the category Knowledge and Innovation Leader the award was given to Baltic Sea and Space Cluster.
The Maritime Industry Safety Forum is devoted to the subject of safety in the maritime economy, both the safety of critical infrastructure and technological innovations at sea.
The leading theme of this year’s event was the safety of offshore wind farms, the risks occurring in the offshore industry, energy storage and new technologies.
