FlixBus and Stena Line: first direct bus/ferry connection from Poland to Norway

FlixBus

Stena Line has started working with FlixBus to launch the first direct bus service from Poland to Norway, with a ferry crossing from Gdynia to Karlskrona. Yesterday, 3 August, the first run of this international bus line, numbered N1202, took place.

Bus line N1202, just opened by FlixBus, connects southern and central Polish cities such as Krakow, Katowice, Łódź, Toruń and Gdynia with Karlskrona in Sweden via a ferry service operated by Stena Line. The route also includes stops in the Swedish cities of Växjö, Värnamo, Jönköping, Borås and Gothenburg, with a terminus in the Norwegian capital Oslo.

Passengers can cross the Baltic Sea comfortably and safely, as the bus fare includes a ferry ride with accommodation in an en-suite cabin. In addition, bicycles can also be transported by bus and ferry.

We are delighted to have been able to work with FlixBus to develop this connection. We hope that the FlixBus initiative will be popular with travellers, allowing it to grow,” says Pedro Canchaya, Travel Commercial Manager for the Baltic Sea Region at Stena Line.

Thanks to the cooperation with Stena Line, FlixBus offers the possibility of easy and sustainable travel from Poland directly to the Scandinavian countries – via the Baltic Sea, to Sweden and Norway. The line will operate all year round, seven days a week, in both directions.
