Record-Breaking July at Baltic Hub – On Rails and Roads

July brought record results in almost every area of operations – from rail transshipments to container and truck handling. This is proof of the strength of our infrastructure and the unwavering trust of our clients – representatives of Baltic Hub announced.

Historic Rail Performance

At the Baltic Hub railway siding, an impressive 66,895 TEU were transshipped in July – the best monthly result in the terminal’s history, exceeding the previous record from October 2024 by 3,500 TEU. As emphasized, this achievement is not just a number – it is the result of excellent cooperation throughout the entire logistics chain:

  • 4 RMG cranes
  • 7 tracks, each 750 meters long
  • OCR system supporting efficiency and safety

Terminal-Wide Records

Simultaneously, the entire terminal achieved a record level of transshipments – 244,752 TEU, corresponding to 141,113 containers. Two other significant operational records were also broken:

  • 93,909 containers handled in a single month (previous record: 85,003 – June 2025)
  • 66,825 trucks processed in July (previous record: 61,886 – June 2025)

Exceptional 2024 Performance

In 2024, Baltic Hub transshipped 2.24 million TEU, marking the highest result in the company’s history. Transshipments were carried out on a record scale – the terminal served 642 ships, including 147 ocean-going vessels. Notably, in July of last year, during a single ship call, an impressive 20,459 TEU were transshipped.

Strategic Expansion

During the reported period, terminal expansion was also underway with T3, which will reach full operational capacity in 2025, increasing Baltic Hub’s total throughput capacity to 4.5 million TEU annually.

Strategic Importance

Located in the Port of Gdansk, the Baltic Hub container terminal is the largest deep-water container terminal in the Baltic Sea and the only one in the region that handles the world’s largest container ships (ULCV with capacity exceeding 24,000 TEU). The port provides direct connections to ports worldwide, becoming an important link in global supply chains and making Gdansk the most important logistics hub for the entire Central and Eastern Europe region.
