Lukasz Greinke dismissed from position of president of Gdansk Port Authority SA

On March 16, 2023, the Supervisory Board of the Port of Gdansk Authority (ZMPG) decided to dismiss Mr Łukasz Greinke from the Management Board.

Mr Łukasz Greinke had served as the CEO of the Management Board of ZMPG since 2016. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Prior to working for the Port of Gdansk Authority, he was a member of the Supervisory Boards of companies related to the maritime economy, in particular the TSL sector and port operators.

He is socially active as a member of the Maritime Council, where, in an expert group, he provides opinions on the key directions of action and development of the maritime industry. He is also a member of the National Chamber of Maritime Economy, which is a nationwide organization of business entities within the broadly defined maritime economy. He is also a member of the expert forum of the Business Centre Club, bringing together entrepreneurs and the country’s largest organization of individual employers.

Serving as the CEO Mr Lukasz Greinke has successfully pursued the development and professionalization of the Company’s services and the strengthening of the port’s position on the international stage.

Thanks to efficient management, the Port of Gdansk is today the fastest-growing European port of the last decade, as well as the leader of the Baltic container ranking. Over the past 7 years, the value of investments carried out by the Port of Gdansk Authority, contractors, the Maritime Office and PKP PLK, exceeded PLN 4.8 billion. There are more projects planned and in progress, amounting to more than PLN 4.2 billion.

The Supervisory Board, in accordance with its authority, did not give a reason for its decision. In accordance with applicable regulations, the Supervisory Board will without undue delay begin proceedings to supplement the composition of the Board.
